The initial funding proposal was accepted by the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ initiative, then it was over to customers to choose their favourite project. Permaculture Scotland and the Hidden Mill are delighted to announce that their project was Tesco customers’ favourite and has thus been awarded the full £12,000 grant!

The proposal includes an innovative climate battery passive solar greenhouse and the planting of a food forest. Lorraine Ishak, who will facilitate the project, said ‘we are delighted to have the opportunity to work with children building an example of a system of food production which is adapted to climate change and reduced energy consumption. The fact that Tesco customers so strongly supported the project is a real sign of our times.’
